Hey guys forgive my ignorance Im new to film, and even newer to audio. I am having a problem with my camera and FCP. Basically my camera captured the video and audio correctly, and it all seemed fine. However when I went to watch the footage it the audio files were about 4 seconds off the video. I understand that interlaced files are about one second off but this was much more noticeable. I filmed in 30f for a school project, and I am not sure how to fix this problem. I am wondering am I just stupid, or is it my mic, or computer, doing this glitch. Once again sorry for the ignorant question but I got nothing off a google search so a little help would be great.

Thanks a ton,
Graham R

So is the whole thing the same amount off of sync?

If it is, just resync and go about your business. I can't think of a reason it would go off on it's own so maybe it's a fluke.

Yes all the audio is off by the same amount, I would like to know why this happens Ill try just re syncing them. However if anyone knows the reason for this I would like to know.

Thanks

What FCP are you using? Wonder if you should trash your preferences for it and restart it.

Sounds like a good idea tony ill give it a try. I don't think its the camera mic, because the audio was fine just out of place on the import.
