Setting Up A New TV Channel

Hi guys I am new to the industry and currently learning all I can as it comes along, I have worked 6 years as a systems admin and rolled have been given the task to setup a TV channel, I took on the challenge knowing something about television but coming into the industry I realise I have no idea what so ever, I am having challenges getting the right equipment.....indoor camera.....news gathering camera.....and camera for documentaries and stuff I am in a sea of equipment and I have to select one model for ever role with the reasons why and the lens and accesories, I had a Panasonic p2hd hpx in mind for outdoor stuff, the new xdcam xs for news and the jvc 250 hd for indoor nes s and studio stuff, with a 35mm lens this is the advise i got please advise
