Found this featurette quite interesting (even through it doesn't give very much information), Pixar had Roger Deakins come in to act as a visual consultant on Wall-E.

Yeah, Deakins is awesome. Seems like a really great down to earth guy.

Funny. I was working with the company that edited that piece at the time. Dig'd all the Deakins interviews and b-roll. There was A LOT of stuff with him. Pretty cool to finally see it up!
