Did anyone get a chance to watch this recently?

They had a 25th anniversary one-time showing here in the bay area. A good classic movie that's fun to watch.

The digital projection was pretty bad in my opinion, you could clearly see compression banding, the colors were flat and halfway through the movie the PC crashed or something showing a "restore the desktop" screen.

Before the movie they showed a "behind the scenes" documentary and a preview for the "sequel".

Overall the cinematography and story is great, I look forward to seeing more older movies on the big screen.

Sound to me like they screened a DVD like it was done with recent anniversary presentations (POLTERGEIST) ! - I remember seeing WAR GAMES on the big screen - it looked quite good. - Hm, I could have sworn I saw a Super-35-type anamorphic print, but IMDB says it was 1.85 format.
