I have a set of RX Schneider primes on my Bolex H16 and was wondering if it would be worth investing in a set of Switar primes?

I know is probably subjective but if anyone has any views on these lenses i'd be grateful as i'm trying to make up my mind if it's worth the investment?

thanks

Hi Mark,

AFAIK the Schneiders are supposed to be snappier and more contrasty than the Switars. I was thinking of getting a set myself, but only ones I was offered were non-RX which I might be thinking about for my Eclair. So if you do test yours against a set of Switars please share your findings. What lenses does your set consist of?

Regards, Dave

My Schneiders are 10mm, 25mm and 75mm. I've been very please with them. Very sharp and a lot cheaper than Switars but they are harder to find.

Haven't got the Switars yet but when i do will try and post results although have been very impressed with the versions i have on my Bolex H8.
