I haven't used the lens, but if it wasn't designed for S16mm, and I'm 99% sure the Varios are earlier lenses, then I'd not count on S16mm coverage at any of the wider focal lengths, something like over the 16mm side I would tend to think would vignette. The only way to be 100% sure of your lens/camera (as who knows, you may have a slightly abnormal gate/viewing system) would be to roll a few feet with the lens through it's range and get it developed. At least that's my suggestion.
It also seems that lens was pared with the 16BL which wasn't a Super-6 camera. . .so again, I'd be wary.

Thanks for your reply. Having no access to the lens, I'm unable to make any assesements on whether the optics could cover Super 16. if any body has had any previous expirience with dealing with this lens, it would be greatly appreciated. This has probably been asked many time before, but I am looking for Zoom lens that could cover the super 16 format. So any reccomendations would be great.

Regards,
Steven
