Hi all,

I've got a Russian crew scheduled to start their shooting in NYC next week. I was wondering what papers should we acquire, if any, to allow them to cross the border trouble-free when they fly back home with the developed footage? If anyone knows the routine - please reply I will be very gratefull! Thanks in advance.

"what's needed to travel with 10000 feet of film out of NYC?"

I think all you will need is a big box.

I have traveled several times to Europe and back with film and never had an issue.

would it not be easier/cheaper to ship the developed footage back overseas, and then you can also insure it? I don't know about others, but I've often had my bags misplaced. . .
If you're going carry on, shouldn't be too much of a problem, though; just bring paperwork to prove what it is, and the like, show where you bought it i would also assume, but I've flown with film before w/o indecent.

I've been flagged at London Heathrow flying back to the States with undeveloped footage. I had to go to a room, and they waved these magic wands around the cans to make sure it wasn't anything bad. I told them it was film, and they didn't open it.
