Hello,

I?m planning on shooting a film with anamorphic lenses for a 2:35 finish, and I want to be prepared as best as possible. Now, I?ve read many of the post on shooting with anamorphic lenses, but I still need some help clearing up a few things.
Where doing a lot of run and gun shooting, so I will be using the on board monitor on the Red for my operating. What would be the best way to view an un - squeezed image on the on board monitor that will allow me to get a sense of the composition?
I?ll be talking to my DP later today, so I might have a few more questions. But so far this is one of our main issues.

Thanks

John

you cant. there is no unsqueeze on the red monitor. you will need to use a transvideo monitor or similar.
