can anyone recomend a good lab?

I'm looking for a place that gives a good student discount. Also, I need to go from film to dv or better. Any good transfer rates and places.

Technicolor gives a student discount... in fact i think most labs do. though honestly I don't know of any in Wisconsin.

Although you may want to try West Coast labs first, Rob from Cinelab is a forum member here. They also have an ad on the sidebar so see what they can offer, at the very least because they sponsor this site!

Ditto to what Adrian says. Most labs are cool with students, unless you're shooting S8 ;)
