Just wondering if anyone has seen or used this camera and if so, what kind of results you've gotten. I shoot a lot of surf and skim board footage and would love to be able to grab some super 8 footage to go with the video.
Thanks,
Dave

People love that camera, and it's become very collectible. For years they couldn't sell them-- you can still find them new every once in awhile. They're very good.

Thanks for the info. Any idea of what a reasonable price for one would be?

Can't remember how much I paid for mine...but it wasn't much as far as I remember (the removable PMA lens has a big scratch right in the middle...too bad for me !)

Problem with this camera is the ASA compatibility : 25 ASA only ... <_<

So for run n gun stuff, would you use it as a B camera? What stock do you normally shoot with?

To be honest I baught it last year (as far as I remember, or maybe two year ago)...just a few month before we learnt K40 was definitely out. Since then it's in a box, I've never shot one single cartridge with it. I may try with a really old K40 some day but paying the lab for some crappy picture (last K40 cartridge of this kind turned out purple, black and white... great for experimental stuff :rolleyes: ) just to test the camera...
Furthermore as the PMA lens is badly scratched so I can not use it underwater and as my main aim was to shoot underwater stuff well I'm a bit disapponted <_<

Here's a pic :

As far as cartridges are concerned it might possible to use it with other films and use grey filters to compensate - exemple :
K40 is 25 ASA Daylight - Wittnerchrome 100D is 100 ASA D which means 2 diaphs => ND4 filter if I'm right.
