Throughout Martin Scorsese's 'Bringing out the Dead' the whites (and, in fact, any bright lights) have a real glow to them. One of the earlier scenes when Cage's character is trying to revive Patricia Arquette's father in the apartment, the light off the body is glowing, as well as the whites on the shirts and the surroundings.
I was wondering if anyone knew how this was achieved. Is it done through overexposure in conjunction with crushed blacks and increased contrast? Or is it a filtration issue?
If anyone has any thoughts I would love to hear them.
