Check this out! Do you guys agree that this could be revolutionary in the digital realm of photography/videography as well as applications in solar energy.

A friend showed me this tonight and I thought I'd share it.

This is not exactly new.
It may have applications for solar panels.
For cameras it has the potential to increase sensitivity but that's all.
It will not give you any more dynamic range.
That will only come with lowering the noise floor.
All this will do is effectively put more spotlights on the scene.

There are also serious problems with refining silicon and other aspects of production capacity which suggest against the broad application of photovoltaic generation - it's much more efficient, barring fundamental advances, to build solar chimneys (which use plain glass for most of the collection zone).
