I was mucking around with ideas on the 8mm forum:

I was trying to come up with ways to reduce 8mm grade image costs using existing devices. Now, I've come up with this that could run on my Techniscope camera with only gate masking:

The famed Bruening Canon/Mitchell 35mm/SD video tap SuperSqueeze format which uses highly modified Mitchell BNCR with an Canon XL-1 strapped to it's side! :P :D
