Spec Reel Length?

Anyone know how long a spec reel should be?

Under 5 minutes is the norm. But if you only have enough good stuff to make a 3 minute reel, do that. There is no use in putting 2 minutes of so-so footage on your reel.

I tend to cut my reels a little shorter than expected perhaps. I figure it's better to leave someone wanting more than to have them wishing it would end.
