So the big advantage of Vision 3 over Vision 2 is the latitude. When you're working on a 1080p scan - is there any real advantage of Vision 3? Can I really pull out more information? I would think that the difference is nominal between the two and you'd have to do a higher res scan of Super-8.

Not that I'm complaining about having access to Vision 3 - it is more to see if my thinking is valid.

Thanks,
Schmüdde

David Mullen talked extensively about this in his In Production report for Jeniffer's Body I believe.

Searching the archives will yield the right results to your query.

since you are posting in a Super 8 forum, I would add that the 7218 is being phased out. So, soon enough, all you will be able to get is the 7219.
