I have been wondering about the 500D, do you have an frame grabs? What's your opinion about it?

Film Tools might have it. Call first. And if they don't I bet they can tell you who does.

If you want to grab an extra 25 to 40 minutes before sunrise or after sunset, it's really the only stock with natural lighting. I used the sun as fill.

For a full-blown production, I'd use it just to get that extra hour or so a day of shooting time. What's that worth $30K????

The grain is good, not miraculous, not bad, but above average, for the speed.

The color reproduction was good, not saturated but fairly natural skintones and neutral colors. The actress had dark hair with blond highlights that came out well with the test chart.

The lab didn't do a great job with the prints, there was a slight overall bluish tint, which they should have timed out. So the stock must have a Tungsten basis.

I didn't try to push the stock and didn't use any filters.

Yes I have some 300 dpi scans I could post but the 100k limit on this form wouldn't do it justice.
