Can anyone help.

I want to refit the cable on some of my lights. I wish to use the same high grade 16amp cable that ARRI and other lighting companies use. But I don't know what that is or where to look.

Help much appreciated. This is for use in the UK.

Check with any rental house that maintains its own lights. They should be able to point you in the right direction.

You probably know this already, but I'd feel better if I point out that there are likely legal requirements not only for the wire size (probably the British equivalent of 12 gauge AWG) but also for the thickness, robustness and suppleness of the conductor insulation and outer jacket.

All the information you need is printed right on the original cable. If your fixture has an in-line switch, the section of cable between the switch and the head will a high-temperature type. I'd bring the cable to an electrical supply house and have them match it.
