A thought about CTB/CTO

If you were to put CTB or CTO gel in front of the lens, would this result in all your lights that are 3200k, appear 5600k? Or vice versa with CTO.

CTO/B wouldn't really have the optical quality to pass a nice image through. . which is why we use filters, (85 to convert 5600 to 3200 and 80a for 3200 to 5600). But the theory is the same, Placing CTB gel in a T environment (for full CTB) renders 5600 balanced lights from 3200 lights. or, full CTO in a 5600 environment converts down to 3200.
