65mm??????? Why cant I find Step Rings?

So , I know the answer to my question already...no one makes 65mm step rings.

But, why does NO ONE make them?

I want a 65mm to 77mm step up ring for a lens attachment to my Som Berthiot 70 lens for my bolex.

Answers?
Solutions?

Here's something that brings you from 65 to 72 for conventional round filter thread:

So now you just have to find a 72 to 77, which I'm sure is easy to find but I'm too lazy to find it myself right now and I want to have dinner.

But what kind of attachment are you talking about?

The problem is that that clamp is for a 65mm exterior diameter.
I am trying to adapt a Pan Cinor 70 (Som Berthiot) on my bolex. (see picture below)

The lens is a 65mm and the exterior diameter is about 70mm.

I would like to adapt either this Cokin Type Filter (more for mattes and vingetting)

I've dug long and deep for something that would work and I'm at a loss.
The other issue being that the focus is controlled at the end of the lens, so anything that would be adapted would rotate as I focus. So weight and bulk can and will be an issue.

You might try http://www.srb-griturn.com/. They're cheaper than S. K. Grimes in my experience.

The first link you posted is just the Cokin system, which I use. Why do you need a 65 to 77 step-up ring?

Where does the 77 size come in?

You can get a 65mm ring for the Cokin holder, or a 77, which takes the Cokin square/rectangular filters.

So once again--what is the end game here with 77mm? I asked you before but can't seem to get an answer on this.

What the f*** does the 77mm size have to do with any of this?

It's obvious you cant help...so don't. Cokin DOES NOT sell a 65mm step ring.
