Need a reply from ANYONE who was been paid from cinematography

I'm doing a presentation on cinematography in my photography class, I need a reply from at least one professional or someone who practices cinematography.. Anyways my question is What is the average, or your most current salary of someone within cinematography?

There is no "average" -- rates are all over the map, from zero to a bucketload, and we work freelance, so one good year may be offset by a bad year, so a yearly income figure would also be misleading. And we don't work year-round, so any rate figure you get wouldn't give you the whole picture.

I mean, if I told you that the "average" yearly salary was between $20,000 and $200,000, that would be fairly useless information, wouldn't it?

Since we have a real names policy on this forum, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that your parents did not name you Scrappy Coco, though some parents have done worse in the naming department...

I would think 90% fall in the $20,000-$200,000 range with 8% below & 2% above.
