I am building a sound stage that will be 3000 sq ft. with a horseshoe shaped cyc wall that will cover 3 walls. Does anyone know what I would need to do as far as power for a lighting grid.
Thanks!

Short answer : As much as possible.
Long Answer: Depends on what type of work you want to do. A news-room type stage can get away with less power than a proper film sound stage, for example, as there are fewer lighting set-ups.

I want to set it up as a proper film studio. So I guess I just need to talk to the electrician and tell him I need a lot of power. I really don't know much about power, i guess I should learn.

400A per leg, 120/208VAC 3Ø Wye-connected 4wire+ground should cover just about everything you could ever want to do in a space that size.
