What's the comparison between the many models and what would you recommend? And what does interlaced and progressive footage (in comparison) look like?

Just to give you an idea of what kind of 'ranges' of camera equipment I'm talking about, with or without a 35mm dof adapter.

Canon HV30

Sony HVR-V1U

Sony HDWF900R

(or Thomson Viper, Genesis, SL-2k, Red One etc.)

Anything similar to these is fine.

I'm just curious to how digital equipment holds up on the big screen before post, if anyone's had experience in this field.

Thanks in advance,

Marcus
