Marketplace FAQ

(Last update: February 2014)

The Cine Marketplace is for use by individual buyers and sellers.

Brokers, retailers and manufacturers must use the Vendor Marketplace.

Ads posted in the SteadicamForum.com Marketplace are now mirrored here.

The local version of those ads include a link to the original post at SteadicamForum.com.

Do not reply to the Steadicam Forum posts on Cinematography.com.

Follow the links to SteadicamForum.com and reply there (separate login required).

You must be the item's seller to post a item for sale. Do not post items "for a friend."

Use this forum to sell and buy motion picture production equipment only.

Do not flood the forum with posts. If you have several items to sell, list them in a single post.

It is acceptable to include reasonably sized images of your items in the post.

Do not re-post the same item in a new post. Do not bump your existing post to the top of the list.

You cannot edit a post more than a few minutes after it has been published (or 24 hours for Sustaining Members). You may amend a post by adding your own reply to the thread.

Do not request an administrator or moderator remove your post when your item is sold. Just add a reply to the thread.

All posts will be automatically removed after 60 days.

It is acceptable to link to Ebay auctions if it is your Ebay auction.

Follow/Monitor your post so that you can answer questions should a potential buyer or seller add a reply to your post. Simply including off-forum contact information is not acceptable.
