I was surprised at the high production value of the widescreen stream I watched of this event.

Have these addresses been 16:9 for a while?

As much as I enjoyed the sweeping jib shots, they seemed out of place. What's next? Steadicams in the aisles?

Anyone know the tech specs or which production company put that together?

A Cable Cam zooming over the senators is next, I think.
And they're going to mic the party whips like they do quarterbacks...
Dunno how long it's been 16:9. CSpan is still 4:3, so it certainly might've been an outside company.

It's funny, I was at a friend of mines house and saw them do the sweeping move over congress and couldn't help but point it out. Glad I'm not alone on noticing this.

What I noticed in HDTV... was that some politicians should not allow themselves to be shot up close in HDTV...

My viewership will end in favor of radio when they add "POV" cameramen & holograms ;-)
