Frankly speaking, the anamoprphic lenses use at 35 mm film shooting with rate 2.35:1.
But, a some guys use of anamorphic lenses with 16 mm cine cameras.
I have personal experience of use of LOMO anamoprhic prime and zoom lenses with 35 mm cine cameras and had experiments with 16 mm cine cameras ( Krasnogorsk, Kinor-16 ).
The 16 mm footages had very good quality.

I do not had of any discomfort, except, of camera and lens mount matching.
But, you must draw attention on rate between angle of view of lens with 35 mm and 16 mm filming.

I think, you can use of S16 Arri PL camera and modified on Arri PL lens mount LOMO lenses.
