Hello everybody,

I just took a chance and purchased a Canon ES870 8mm camera at a garage sale. Prior to the purchase, I knew nothing about this model and very little about 8mm film (or film in general, really). Having returned to my home, I have found it difficult to find much useful information about this camera online. Have any of you used it before? I'd love to know what this model is known for and how it fits into the 8mm world, its strengths and weaknesses, etc.

Thank you in advance, and happy filming.

Hello,

Is it Super 8?
I think that it is 8mm video camera.
In the site of Canon, there is information on all cameras.

Thanks a lot Takahiro!

Funny to think how expensive this thing was a decade ago and that now its almost useless.
