Period peice - Suggestions

Hi hi,

I am shooting a 5 minute short in about a weeks time. I am in my second year at AFDA film school in South Africa. I have a lot of night shots that are taking place in a small Namibian village's main road and the other location is a bakery interior day and night. The short is based in the late 1950's in Namibia and its a musical. I want to work together with my production designer to achieve a specific look. My references for shot structure and camera movement is "Darjeeling Ltd." and for lighting there is a mix but for the road a would like to use a shot from "A long voyage Home" - Greg Tolland ASC.

I am shooting on the Panasonic AG-HMC154ER.

In my lighting inventory i only have 2 blondes. 3 redheads and maybe a 2.5k HMI. I might get a soft box for one of the blondes as well.

If anyone has suggestions or tips or anything. Perhaps some gear that i should look at getting in order to achieve the style.

Hi Rusty that must be an experience!!!My name is Lee Shoniwa and am a Zimbabwean based in Mozambique. I'm producing documentaries for NGOz and its quite interesting... Keep on working on the works mate, and is there any way that we can view your project on completion???
