Hi hi,

I am shooting a 5 minute short in about a weeks time. I am in my second year at AFDA film school in South Africa. I have a lot of night shots that are taking place in a small Namibian village's main road and the other location is a bakery interior day and night. The short is based in the late 1950's in Namibia and its a musical. I want to work together with my production designer to achieve a specific look. My references for shot structure and camera movement is "Darjeeling Ltd." and for lighting there is a mix but for the road a would like to use a shot from "A long voyage Home" - Greg Tolland ASC.

I am shooting on the Panasonic AG-HMC154ER.

In my lighting inventory i only have 2 blondes. 3 redheads and maybe a 2.5k HMI. I might get a soft box for one of the blondes as well.

If anyone has suggestions or tips or anything. Perhaps some gear that i should look at getting in order to achieve the style.

Thanks,
Rusty
