I'm about to buy a K3 from someone. He says he's selling it for a friend. What should I look for in the camera to make sure it's all right? How should I test it? Thanks!

First look for any mods. Does it have the loop formers? Is it S-16?

Try loading film through it and listening for that sewing machine sound to see if its consistent and the loops hold properly.

I'd shoot a reel and process it to make sure before buying. Some labs do camera tests for free.
