Hey,

I've been following everyone on here for a bit and wanted to take the time to introduce myself. I manage Howcast's Emerging Filmmakers Program and we just launched a filmmaking contest, the How-To Video Challenge!

First prize is $2000 and we've got awesome judges lined up-- Peter Baxter, Slamdance Film Festival; Jeff Cooperman, The Colbert Report; Katherine Sharpe, ReadyMade Magazine; Tim Sullivan, Magical Elves (Project Runway, Top Chef).

We're on the hunt for a fresh, creative approach to the how-to video....can you reinvent the how-to in three minutes or less?

Here are all the links you need to get started:

The How-To Video Challenge...Knock our socks off. We dare you. http://www.howcast.com/videochallenge
Guidelines: http://www.howcast.c...allenge/details
Rules: http://www.howcast.c...Challenge/rules

Good luck and happy shooting!

Heather, you must use your real first and last names on this forum as your display name, changable under "my controls."

Also, I am not sure if this is an appropriate forum for that type of advertising for a "job." You are not offering a job at all, but a contest, which, I personally don't think fits with the nature, intent, nor users of this site (my own 2 cents on that).

You're right! My apologies on both fronts. I think I rather botched this post, didn't I? I tried to change my name but it seems I don't have that as an option because apparently I already did it two times.

At a minimum, if you know of a way for me to move this post to the Events forum, please do let me know. Thank you!

Sorry about my poor etiquette.
