Why do DP's sometimes use studio lights when shooting outside under directional light? I know that we use lights to make the shot look good. But then why don't we just use a reflector? Why do we sometimes use artificial lights when shooting outside under strong directional light?

So as not to have to move the reflector as the sun moves ;) Among others reasons.
