Let say I rate a 500 ASA film to 320, does the lab handle it as 500 ASA and then I correct the exposition in post, or do I tell them it has been rated at 320 and they process it as 320 asa film?

Thanks and sorry my english's awkward.

They treat it as 500 and you correct it back in post, normally. There are occasions when you'd have the lab do a 1 stop pull etc, but that's the exception rather than the rule.
