I am very interested in gathering more information about cameras, dp's, directors, etc. So i've put together a small list of movies, dps, and directors that i like and would like to know more about... but after searching all over the web, i can not find any information as to which cameras were used for specific movies. Do you guys know of any websites or books that have this information??

Have you looked at American Cinematographer?

There in the articles about the movies,
they usually mention cameras, film stocks, lenses, cranes etc. used.

And at the end is the mandatory list with tech specs:
Aspect Ratio, Cameras, Lenses and film stock.

The site gives 1 or 2 movies per month as free online articles.

More in their print or digital subscribtion edition.

Best

Igor

Thanks for the advice. Thats actually the site that motivated me to start looking up more cameras used in movies. The site is great reading material with an unbelievable amount of information but im looking for something with a searchable database. If you know of anything else, let me know.

IMDB has technical specs, but as it's user submitted the information can often be wrong.

It's normally not too hard to find out about a particular film (assuming of course it has a reasonable release) in American Cinematographer, even if they don't have a searchable database.
