Hi there,

Most of my film is set on the streets of LA during the day.

I am not too familiar with day exterior shoots and was wondering if anyone had any tips/advice/tricks for such situations:

eg - what equipment i'd use, what to look out for, any resources/links, etc.

Thanks so much,
Ash.

What kind of look are you going for? What kind of equipment do you have available? What's your budget? Black & White, or Color?

Make sure you shade your camera with a flag. Also bring bounce boards, Foam core, with duck bill clamps. Set up fliers on the street that say "if you enter this area you may appear on this film and consent to doing so..." or something to that effect (note I am not a lawyer). Make sure you have a set of ND filters and a possibly a Polarizer for the sky.

Get a good AD.
