I was wondering if it was possible to speed ramp by changing the framerate and shutter angle during a take on a Bolex H16 reflex. Would trying this damage the motor?

No it shouldn't ...

You'll be hard pressed to get it right, but yeh - go for gold.

The resolution of the shutter gets more and more critical the more closed it becomes - good luck!
