Why'd we get rid of that? I really liked being able to come to the front page and see what everyone was commenting on. I feel like you see a lot more posts that way because otherwise I tend to stick to Lighting and General Discussion and don't stray too much into the others.

Maybe it's my imagination but it seemed like more people were posting then too.

Any way to bring it back?

You know Chad most times the first click for me is the "View New Posts" in the upper right. Is that what you're looking for?

Yeah, I was similarly frustrated until I discovered that same button.

Maybe, in the next version of this forum, that button should be bigger and more clearly explained (although "View New Posts" is pretty self-explanatory, just not the right size maybe.)

Yeah, I had never clicked that. It works I suppose but lacks the "feeling" of the old frontpage. I'm just being picky now. :P

I'm amazed to read this. I never attempt to view this forum any other way except by "view new posts". Doesn't everyone?

The feature I would like to see, would be to personalise the view so you can view new posts just in the categories that you are interested in. Theoretically possible, as "it" knows who you are and what you have read so far. But hey, it's fine as it is.

Actually, for those who didn't know what "view new posts" meant, here's another tip that might be new to you. If you click on the little orange and white square to the left of the topic title, it opens up that topic at the first new post since you last read that topic (instead of at the beginning). Saves a lot of time finding your place in those threads that run for 12 pages and more.
