Hi.

I'm thinking about buying an ArrifleX 16S and am concerned with processing costs of the film.

Can it use positive and negative reels?

What are the charges associated with good quality colour film (400ft) being telecined to mini DV?

Any advice for me?

My advice would be to learn the basics before you buy a 16S. You should probably start with a simple 8mm camera if you are this ignorant of the basics.

It can take basically any standard-pitch 16mm film (stock designed for 1,000+ frames/second high-speed applications might give it trouble).
