Producers Foundation Certificate

To produce a film is to be the ringleader of the circus, the person keeping all the spinning plates up in the air. It is arguably the most confusing and difficult part of the filmmaking process with the least amount of job definition. If you’re looking for a way to demystify the producing process, then Raindance film has a course for you!

Though the entire course encompasses five weeks, you can purchase either the entire course or each evening individually based on your interest and need.

Week One: Creating A Business Plan - Tuesday 10 November
How to present your project to investors and gather the funds you will need to make your film

Week Two: Marketing And Selling Your Film Tuesday 17 November
How to assemble a strong press kit

Week Three: Basic Legal Contracts Tuesday 24 November
Understanding film contracts

Week Four: Budgeting and Scheduling Tuesday 1 December
Organizing a professional budget and schedule

Week Five: Movie Money Tuesday 8 December
Basic financing tools available for any business

Date: Tuesday 10/17/24 November 1/8 December
Time: 6:30pm-9:30pm
Venue: 10 Craven St, London WC2N 5PE
Price: £40 for each course individually, £189.75 for full course or £161.29 for Raindance Premium Members. Join Here

This is an advertisement for a commercial service and should not be here.

Who accredits your "certificate"? In what circles does it have recognised weight?

Is the Film Council link some sort of attempt to imply your organisation has links with them?

You list yourself as a "producer"; what is your experience in the role that qualifies you to run such a course? Your IMDB listing is sparse in the extreme.

And last of all: what possible value does an independent producing course have in the UK?

Hi,

In 30 years I heard some BS from producers, this 'foundation course' takes the biscuit.
