Blooping tape issues.

I recently purchaed some 16MM blooping tape from Christy's, both the sountrack and picture versions. I find that the tape I acquired is too thick. The thickened film, with the tape applied, doesn't run well in my projectors, or in the printer.

I tried 3M™ type 8422 and it's perfect! http://www.shop3m.com/70009272025.html
It's the perfect thickness for both picture and sound. The problem with it is that it's a bit wide, and hard to use and handle easily.

Anyone have any altenatives? Anyone else use blooping tapes?
