Remember the soundtrack from SL&V? What did you think of Cliff's music? Here's a sample:

The thing is I've got these five glass, Buddhist prayer bells that my dad passed on to me. The biggest one is about 2 feet wide. The smallest is about 10 inches. When struck with the rubber mallet, they make the most extraordinary tone sets. Even though I know the whole dynamic range of each bell can't possibly be captured by any mic, I'd really like to use them for my soundtrack following the compositional ideas used by Cliff Martinez.

What do you think, first, of Cliff's stuff and, second, of using prayer bells the same way for GBM?

Well first, what is GBM? And why not just type out what it is?

And secondly, are you really asking if you should use them like Cliff Martinez used them? Are you exceptionally talented in music composition like he is, or are you hiring someone to do that for you?

I think Cliff has contributed in a big way to modern scoring music. His work on Traffic and Solaris was exceptional. He's been one of my favorites for years.
