I have some various production equipment that I am interested in renting out.
Does anyone have any experience running a rental house that could offer some pointers?

Thanks for your input!

Get insurance for all your stuff, and also make sure those who rent either have their own insurance and/or put down a credit card to cover replacement costs.
Normally, though I find that you'll more than likely rent stuff out to friends who you've worked with who need this or that on a shoot.

Insurance is crucial. In addition, upfront payments with new clients. maintaining proper scheduling is important as well. Establish (if not already) a good relationship with other rental houses, because odds are, you will be sub renting to round out packages.

Best of Luck!!
