Today I received a Canon Zoom DS8 with it case. The camera looks in a pristine condition and I believe it works very well. Tomorrow I will buy some batteries for test. For me is very hard to buy DS8 film.... And the development is near impossible in my country. So may be I will sale the camera in the US market. The question I have is how much is the value of this Canon?

If you're not going to keep it: this camera has a value of 400 US$ on ebay. I would buy it for that money. Send a PM if you are interested. Regards Oliver

The only source of DS8 film that I know of is John Schwind at International Film.

One can enter Foma Bohemia's shop in Prague, Jungmannová 2, any time of the year and buy Fomapan R 100 in Double Super 8 and lengths of 33 or 100 foot.

Gigabitfilm will be available in Double-Eight and Double Super 8 towards end 2011.

For those thinking of going Double Super-8mm you can also get the Canon camera modified for Crystal Control by The Film Group.

As far as I know we are the only ones still doing the conversion to this and many other Super-8mm cameras.
