Hi all,

I have been given a working Arri 16SR1.... it's great, although it is missing a viewfinder which, even in my limited experience, is rather essential...

I was wondering if anyone out there has a regular optical viewfinder they want to get rid of???

cheers

Kris,

Are you missing just the eyepiece or are you missing the whole viewfinder J-bar?

Kris,

Yeah, you need the whole J-Bar assembly. Might not be too easy to find. The good news is that you could also use a T-Bar assembly, which was the assembly ARRI made for that camera to use with a video tap. That would work if you could find one of those.

Can you put a video bar on an SRI?

ARRI made a T-Bar for the SR1, and you can also take the J-Bar and put a Jurgen's elbow on it, or a Lee Utterbach elbow on it. Any of those three would give you a place to attach your video camera.

Kris,
Are you still looking for a viewfinder for your SR ?
There's a J-Bar on eBay.com at the moment ( starting at $199.00 )....

http://cgi.ebay.com/...=item43a0b0c609

Don't forget this is only the J-Bar section so you'll need an eyepiece too.

Hope that helps !
