I'm curious to know what TC setup most people use with their 5D/7D/550D in multicam shoots. Ambient? Horita? Denecke? Do you use a Beachtek, or just make cables and use an attenuator? And how about post- do you sync up ahead of time, or just eyeball it? Sync map? Let us know!

So far we haven't done multi-cam, only MOS. So, we dump it over to SR tape and stripe code at that time. We only use DSLR's for special purpose shots. The "A" camera would be Genesis, D-21, F-35, Red, ....

If you use an audio recorder that has timecode output one way is to put it into the right channel of a 5D/7D audio input and the left channel input with the mixers audio. Doing it this way you get timecode on a DSLR.

In that case, you could also put a Lockit box on or near the DSLR, and avoid the cumbersome wire between camera and sound. TOD on both.
