Hi folks,

a friend recently asked whether I knew of any place doing a Super8 wet gate telecine? I told him no, none that I know of. What about you?

Thanks, Dave

Maybe this should be in the 8mm forum.

I'm pretty sure there's somewhere in the US who does it and a few homebrew wetgate telecine people too.

I know of 2:

1. CinePost in Georgia USA (http://www.posthouse.com)

2. The Transfer Station in California USA (http://www.thetransferstation.com)

I've used CinePost for Super8 wet gate and was very satisfied with their work. Here's a link to a sample they transferred for me (a ballet performance):

The Youtube compression doesn't really do justice to the footage.

This sample of what a Wetgate can do was in NTSC but could be in PAL or HD.

I am looking for a Direct transfer from Super 8 film to HD 1080P format, ,not an up-ressed one from SD. Can Myron do it directly to HD?
