I am looking to get some advice and suggestions for using sony ex3 and brevis cinevate depth of field adapter. i did a couple of tests and had couple of problems.
first: focus is really not sharp where i wanted it to be sharp. i am using long lens, 30-130mm nikon lens so focus is crucial. i know that backfocus is important, also there is lens collimation required. has anyone had experience with this package and any advice?
also, I did not like the blacks that i got from the camera. ex3 has many gamma, knee, black and color matrix options. what is the best way to get a solid black out of the camera with the dof adapter attached?

okay so maybe i should mention some questions that i have:
what is the best way to achieve solid blacks without making the picture low key?
also is it wise to alter color matrix in order to achieve a nice film look? or is it safer to do this in post?
i would appreciate a response. really would!
