Hello

I was wondering if anyone has some reference examples of old hollywood style day for night photography?

I will be doing a test and I'm looking for some good information on this technique.

Any comments or suggestions are welcome,

thanks

My favorite ones is Marlon Brando's The Wild One...very well done and very convincing.

Do you mean color or black & white?

Here's Roger Deakins answering a similar query

Are you looking for film scene references, or technique info?

I think most films and TV series prior to 1970 used day-for-night filters. Most John Wayne westerns and some pirate films are the best examples that come to mind.

I believe all the night scenes in Jaws were shot in the day.
