Matthews Studio Equipment will debut their new car mount systems at IBC 2010 (Hall 11, Booth G71). Designed as a strong, safe, reliable and versatile system for mounting cameras to automobiles, trucks, boats, trains and even low flying airplanes, the MSE CAR MOUNT SYSTEM integrates MICROgrip technology with the recently introduced MSE family of Ball Heads.
The PRO-Mount system accommodates camera packages up to 26.4 lbs (12Kg) using the Matthews BH-20 Ball Heads and a series of three suction cups and MICROgrip heads and rods.
The MASTER-Mount system will handle camera loads up to 39.6 lbs (18Kg) and is based on the Matthews BH-30 Ball Head mounted on a 10” suction cup and two 6” suction cups, integrated with the MICROgrip supporting components to ensure solid and steady imaging.
“The ‘Glamour Shot’ is a staple and desirable POV for everything from commercials to features; whether it is the hood, door, wheel or three-quarter shot,” says MSE’s President/owner Ed Phillips. “Done properly, they look great. However, that often comes at a cost in terms of time and equipment. Not anymore, thanks to our new Car Mount systems. In five minutes you can mount one of the newer lighter-weight cameras utilizing the vehicle’s suspension system in combination with our MicroGrip technology, Ball Mounts and suction cups. Now you can capture incredibly expensive looking images at a very low cost in terms of time and equipment.”
PRO-Mount and MASTER-Mount systems are shipped complete, with an instructional, introductory video as well as visuals for suggested camera placement. MSE also offers camera risers in both 3” (7.5cm) and 6” (15cm) lengths to offer a maximum of 9” (22.5cm) further extension of camera from mounting.
