Well, it depends on your story and how you want to tackle it, same as documentary. There's no singular formula that "works." I'd say watch a lot of real docs and see how they do their thing then play with their conventions. It's what we tried to do on a Mock I shot-- not the best thing ever, nor the worst, yet still languishing in perpetual editorial..
