I used a friends Nizo 800 and know close to nothing about super8mm. I have a 5dii so decided to get the best exposure I would first dial in the equivalent settings on the 5d, shoot, then copy over to the Nizo.

According to the manual the Nizo's equivalent shutter speed would be 1/43 so I dialed in 1/40th on my 5dii. I was shooting Ektachrome 100D so I put the 5d to 100iso thinking this would be all good. Anyway, all my film footage came back very underexposed. I'm confused...I know there's a tiny bit of light loss from the viewfinder, but 1.5-3 stops of light?

Any ideas would be appreciated.
