North Korea Renews Film Industry Trade Alliance with Russia and China
The region is becoming known locally as the “North East Asian Economic Co-Prosperity Co-Operative Sphere”, or the Eastern Alliance.

The trade deals were actually signed some time ago and the North Korean leader is a frequent visitor to our region. In return for Russian timber and Chinese steel the North Koreans have been given a high profile window into the international free market for a range of North Korean produce and business opportunities, including ethnic arts and crafts, tourism opportunities, education, entertainment, construction, heavy industry, expensive toys and special equipment.
In the summer of 2011 the China Border Trade & National Specialty Fair will be held in Changchun City, only a few hours from the North Korean border. Changchun City is one of two designated logistics centres attached to the Tumen Free Trade Zone, the other being Jilin City. Jilin is well known for its chemical industries. Changchun possesses heavy manufacturing and is also the home of Chairman Mao’s Changchun Film Studio.
The United Kingdom is helping the Chinese government to secure the porous northern border against leaks of nuclear material and other WMD. British paramilitary police firm Strings Security Limited is closely involved, as is Pogues Armoury, a regular British Army unit that maintains a close cooperative interest with the Chinese film industry.
Changchun Film Studio is currently working on the latter stages of pre-production for a new international style of entertainment, a fictional reality based television show that serves as the base for an “as seen on TV” marketing franchise of North Korean and also locally produced Chinese goods and services.
Featured products will include emergency use foodstuffs, surveillance equipment, special vehicles, medicines and medical equipment, as used by a team of international performers. Some well known international stars have shown an interest in the project. For the moment these details are a closely guarded secret. However, the general theme and progress of the shows can be discerned from early promotional material that is available online here at Alien News from Deep Space - Thunderheart War Prophets of Zerozone.
Production will begin in earnest and should be ongoing with rest periods for two or three years.
Favourable work permit and contract terms have been negotiated for foreign performers. Preference is given to performers who have at least a moderate command of Mandarin Chinese. Language tuition has been arranged, translators are provided, accommodation and part time work in other industries has also been arranged for selected performers who make up the pool of locally based talent who remain on call.
Some parts of Alien News are to be filmed live with audience participation, as part of the role-playing faux reality concept. The story lines are fiction, the characters are not real, but the goods and services used by the actors who endure the trials, the joys and the calamities of a climate Armageddon on an alien world long long ago far far away are available for hire or purchase by individuals, registered public organisations, town councils and other institutions.
Preference is given to performers who have genuine work experience relating to the roles that they play.
